Services Generally Not Covered
Routine maintenance foot care performed solely for personal hygiene or comfort may not be covered by Medicare or Medicaid.

Preventive foot care without a qualifying medical diagnosis

Patients are responsible for any non-covered services.

Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN)
​
If Medicare is expected not to cover a service, an Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) will be reviewed with you before treatment.
Signing an ABN allows you to choose whether to receive the service while acknowledging potential financial responsibility if Medicare denies payment.
ABNs are provided only when required by Medicare guidelines.
